1. Introduction
Health Hub is operated by pezant.ca. We provide a personal data layer that receives, stores, and manages health and fitness data from your Garmin Connect account. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you connect your Garmin account via the Garmin Connect Developer Program.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect data delivered by Garmin Connect via webhook push notifications. This includes:
- Activity Summaries: Activity ID, date, distance, duration, heart rate, cadence, activity type.
- Activity Streams: Time-series data for heart rate, pace, cadence, and power.
- Health Metrics: Daily activity, sleep, HRV, stress, respiration, pulse oximetry, and body composition summaries.
- Account Events: Deregistration and permission change notifications.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is stored securely and made available to you through authenticated API endpoints. We do not perform analytics, generate reports, or process your data beyond storage and retrieval.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- Token Security: OAuth tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser or third parties.
- Data Deletion: You may disconnect your Garmin account at any time. Upon disconnection, OAuth tokens are immediately deleted. You may request a full data purge by contacting support.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Data is only shared with:
- Garmin: Authentication tokens exchanged to facilitate the connection you requested.
- Infrastructure: Hosted on secure cloud infrastructure that processes data on our behalf.
6. No External AI or Third-Party Data Processing
Data obtained from Garmin Connect APIs is not processed by, shared with, or otherwise made available to any external artificial intelligence (AI) services, machine learning platforms, or third-party data processing providers.
Specifically:
- Garmin data is never sent to external AI providers for processing, analysis, or model training.
- Garmin data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning models.
- All data processing is limited to storage and retrieval within our controlled server environment.
- Any future changes to this approach require prior written approval from the Garmin Connect Developer Program team.
7. Limited Use Policy
- We do not use Garmin data for surveillance.
- We do not use Garmin data for advertising.
- We do not transfer Garmin data to data brokers or advertising networks.
